Electric Razor Case
What kind of electric razor to buy for my guy?
I’ve been looking at electric razors for awhile now and it’s getting close to Christmas crunch time so a decision needs to be made.
There are too many options. Straight, 3 little round heads, cleaning methods, cordless, waterproof, replacement edge prices…so many factors that I know nothing about.
My guy has been using a shave gel and 4 blade razor. He has relatively thick facial hair and needs to shave every day (at least during the work week).
I’m want to spend $50-$100. I don’t want to go top of the line for his first one in case he decides he prefers the old non-electric, but I want it to be nice too. Also are there any “extras” he might need that I don’t know about. (oils, creams, razor cleaning needs)

I to have very coarse facial hair. I have tried most every style and brand of electric razor and always come back to the regular razor. With coarse facial hair the electric razors tend to do a lot of pulling and it quite often feels like the hair is being plucked instead of cut. And of course, no matter what you see on a commercial there is no electric razor that will cut as smooth as a good razor.
The only electric razor that I tried that I actually was happy with and I still have it is a Braun 9595 Dry Shaver. I still have it and it is currently in the cabinet under my sink. But like you said above you do not want to spend a lot of money on one and that one goes for around 200.00. But the old saying is very much true with electric razors, “You get what you pay for.” But even with this one I went back to the ol Mach 4 razors.
What I suggest getting him is a couple packs of razors for his current style razor and a new tool called a ‘Razor Saver.” My wife got me one and it has saved me quite a bit of money. This a tool that can be used to sharpen those blades used on the Mach style or even disposable razors therefor alleviating having to buy new blades every couple weeks.
