Electric Razor Replacement Heads
I have a Phillips Norelco reflex plus 3 head electric razor. Can you buy a replacement for the head?
I have had this electric razor for 2 and a half years now and it just isn’t getting the job done. It works fine but the blades aren’t cutting right. Does anyone know how long they’re supposed to last? Do they sell replacements and what is the price-range for these?
In my experience, the blades usually last for about 1 year before starting to get noticeably dull.
Walmart actually sells them now, for about US$25 per set. You used to have to go to a razor repair shop (look int he Yellow pages).
Some advice: When you get your new set, keep one of the old blades and blade guards as an emergency spare. I have dropped my razor a couple of times in the past decade and chipped one of the heads. It’s handy to have a spare sitting on the shelf.
Don’t swap blades and guards either — they become a honed pair after a while and one blade will rip another guard apart after a short time.
