Men – Which electrical shavers would men recommend?

I want to buy a shaver for my partner. All the staff in Boots are women.
Thanks for your responses. I did actually buy one from the Nivea Cool skin range before I put the question on Yahoo.

He does wet shave. He has said he’d like to try another electric razor, but has never known which one to choose. If I’ve got it wrong, he can always take it back. (It would have been a lot easier if he hadn’t gone out and bought the phone I’d already got him!)

I assume your boyfriend does use an electric razor. If he wet shaves he is unlikely to change as the results are never as close and usually, with modern blades the skin is LESS damaged that with electric razors which cause some level of friction burn if you attempt to shave too closely.

Some men, such as myself, mainly use wet shaves, but use electric razors to deal with ‘five o’clock shadow’. My personal preference is for the Philishave Coolskin range. These have 2 advantages, firstly they apply Nivea moisturiser as a lubricant as you shave, which helps you keep the skin cooler and secondly you can use them under the shower, which makes an even closer shave possible. I am on my 3rd one, not I hasten to add because they wore out, I just like new models.
