Electric Razor Replacement

I have an electric razor that works, but the foil broke.?

A new foil and replacement blades cost more than an entirely new razor. Is there a way to recycle or donate an otherwise perfectly good razor?

You probably don’t need new blades, only the foil, which are often sold separately and a lot less expensive than just the foil. Blades last a lot longer than the foils. If the razor is more than 4 years old, it could need a new battery soon, anyway. Legally, anyone that sells products with rechargeable batteries is supposed to recycle them, but not many do. If it’s an older style and has Nickel Cadmium batteries, you should find a place that will dispose of them properly because Cadmium is a heavy metal and can leach into the groundwater supply if put in a landfill.
I run into similar questions regarding cordless drills because if it’s more than a couple of years old, it’s often more economical to recycle the thing and get a new or reconditioned one.
