Electric Razor Cleaning Brush

Would it be ok to groom my own dog?

I wanna groom my dog completely by myself. For a toenail clipping, a haircut, a bath and blow-dry, and cleaning his ears, “professionally”, it was 55 euro which is ridiculous money seeing as she did a crap job. I can bathe and brush him myself and clean out his ears properly, i’m just worried about clipping his nails and cutting his hair. I’m looking to buy an electric razor meant for cutting mens’ hair, and i’ve read up on dog grooming. The razor is 75 euro, which works out cheaper in the long run.

My dog has a medium length double coat. his outer coat is slightly wirey.

Do you think this is a good idea? Also, any tips on nail clipping? I have no problem letting a vet do this if necessary but it would be great if i could do it myself. Can you show me a site that shows the right way to do it?

Many people home groom their dogs. With practice they become quite good at it also. Use a long blade, go with the lay of the hair and make sure that the coat is clean and mat free before grooming are general tips that I give to home groomers.
